Scenes from Long Beach, New York after Hurricane Sandy, where we spent yesterday checking on Harriet’s place (all good) and delivering food and water supplies. We also happened upon Governor Cuomo’s press conference outside City Hall. The local effort there is amazing and we saw FEMA in full force, as well as many volunteers who had traveled a long way to help. Nonetheless, without power, heat, and water, people are desperate for food, batteries, and other supplies. I know many of you spent the weekend volunteering and donating to relief efforts around the area. The love and generosity is so deeply appreciated and needed - please keep it comin’.
